Deprecation of VMware NSX UI for SSL VPN-Plus

Issue/Introduction

• With the release of VMware NSX Data Center for vSphere 6.4.7, VMware is announcing the deprecation of NSX UI for SSL VPN-Plus. NSX API for SSL VPN-Plus continues to be supported.
  

Symptoms:

• User is unable to view NSX SSL VPN-Plus functionality through vSphere Client 7.0 or vSphere Web Client 6.5 / 6.7.

Environment

VMware vSphere Web Client 6.7.x
VMware NSX for vSphere 6.4.x
VMware vSphere Web Client 6.5.x

Resolution

To workaround the issue, we have 2 options:
Option 1 : Use NSX API for SSL VPN-Plus
Option 2: VMware vCloud Director has HTML5 UI for SSL VPN-Plus except for the following two features

• Portal customization
• LDAP authentication

Additional Information

Impact/Risks:

• UI for SSL VPN-Plus is NOT available through vSphere Client 7.0 (HTML5)
• UI for SSL VPN-Plus through vSphere Web Client 6.5 / 6.7 (Adobe Flash) will stop functioning when web browsers discontinue support for Adobe Flash at the end of 2020. 
• API for SSL VPN-Plus continues to be supported
